吕布的部将高顺之时，遭到另一名大将曹性放箭偷袭，左眼被射中，夏侯惇随即把箭拔出，却连眼睛也给拔了出来，夏侯惇见到便说『父精母血，不可弃也』，便把眼睛吃回去，旋即直取曹性的脑袋。</li>
